Stat-less purple items? - Guild Wars Forums

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone has run into items like this before. This morning I looted a scimitar that was purple and that upon identification showed no stats other than the base damage and swordmaship requirement. Similarly I looted a piece of salvage equipment that did not unlock anything after IDing it.

Just curious to see if anyone else has run into items like these.

Yeah I get them sometimes. Even salvage items.

I got one the other day and when I used the expert salvage kit I got 1 steel

yeah idk how the devs decide on a color because it seems to me that i've gotten quite a few gold and purple items that don't seem any better than regular blue items...of all the gold and purple items i've recieved, i've yet to use one.

What was the damage and what requirement did it have? It's possible that it was purple because the requirement was unusually low.

The scimitar reads:

Slashing, dmg 14-20, req 10 swordmanship.

I am a newb as far as swords go. I am an axe warrior.
