Anyone Else Bored At Kryta?
I am in Lion's Arch, have partially made it through the Cursed Lands and have yet to successfully finish D'Alessio Seaboard. This has been the most boring area of the game. The enemies and fight just feel lacking to me and I am finding it more difficult to come back to the game being that I am still at this point.
Anyone else reach a place like this? |

I too am bored. Not really cause there isn't anything to do, but more because I can't find a decent (if any) group to venture out with me to the hot springs as I have two missions to do there first.

I have to agree, ive been stuck in lions for a while now. I did the next mission, but thats about it. Other then that ive been exploring a bit, but the missions are very hard without groups, and its so hard to find a group with the same missions.

the thing I find most frustrating about this game is the difficulty in finding a party. I took this game a lot slower than my friends so I could do every quest, get every section, and do everything while they are all close to ascending. I cant play with them so with who

I just reached Gates of Kryta myself. R/Mo15. I was somewhat bored before since I pretty much did every single quest I could manage to find. My Quest log is EMPTY! I finally get to Kryta, ask around if any quests are available. And everyone says NO!
WTF? So from here on, all I have to do to gain levels is to grind? Ugh. |

And don't write off the henchies too quickly. I have managed to do every mission so far with henchies. It's a case of which ones you take for which missions.
If you want to do the missions with just henchies as you love to solo, then make sure one of your classes is monk as you will need to assist your npc healer. |

Nothing is stopping them from doing the missions with you. Heck, at 20 I ran a group of noobs through defending the wall because they were crying they couldn't figure it out, side quests and all. |

I'm at the wilds now and its just STUPIDLY diffcult I've tried the mission about 10 times and die with in a couple of mins each time. Does'nt matter who i take with me live people or AI 4 hits for anything there and i'm dead. Whats the point in playing if you can't get anywhere. I'm lvl 16 and my Ele/Mez build has been rather good up to now but its just useless in this mission. As it any build apart form w/mo. Last time i tried it there was 6 of us all lvl 16 to 18 and we all got killed in the 2nd battle by lvl 12 things. How stupid is that.

Once you get past Lion's Arch, things pick up. There are a lot of fun zones ahead. There are also some challenges to be had.
Just as a point of reference, just about everything is doable with henchmen. I've did all of the pre-ascension missions with henchmen, and while it was sometimes challenging, it was definitely fun. I've learned how to control what they do and what to expect from them, up to the level 17 henchmen you start getting after you leave Sanctum Cay. I find the common objective with henchmen is to pump up your DPS as much as you can. With my character combo, R/Mo20, I've pumped up my smiting prayers skills and I just AE roll through groups of mobs efficiently. I also use the ranger concussion skill for those particularly nasty mobs (hydras, sand wyverns, etc.) It's an expensive skill, but with old Claude following me around, when I use a 25 energy skill he always tosses me a Blood Ritual and I'm good to go in a few seconds. |
