Underworld Armor?
I was told today that there was armor better then that in Darknors Forge - its called Underworld armor, and the Warrior version costs 15k to forge each piece, not including materials( so your probably talking 20k a piece average), and has 100 Defense.
My question - how do I get to this Underworld? I've heard it mentioned now and then, but I've never heard how to get there, or what it is exactly, I have heard that it is "hidden" in some way though. Anyone have any more information on this? |

I've also heard a lot of people mention the underworld armor, not as rumor but as if they had been there and seen it. |

Darknors Forge is not the top armour. It's just the top armour given to PvP players who wish to skip PvE. Same as skills, those people who wish to explore all of the game content have the opportunity to bring some extra goodies to the PvP arena.
There is 1 armour set above Darknors Forge and yes it is damn expensive. |

Yes... The level 20 armor is found in Droknar's Forge (not Ventari). And the actual armors found in each town are not what's listed on that link. Any one who's played an elementalist to Yak's Bend knows you can't buy Aeromancer or Geomancer there, and that's just one example.

If it really does give 100 AL for warriors, then this game just became grind again, since 80 AL is nothing compared to 100, just as 60 is nothing compared to 80. Hooray for World of Warcraft grinding Guild Wars.

There are 2 armor crafters that I know of past Droknar's Forge, that both sell extremely expensive armor(15K and lots of crafting materials). However, these armors are NO BETTER than what you can craft in Droknar's Forge, or get from collectors in the Crystal Desert. They do look different(at least in the case of several of the sets). I've been working on putting together a set of Necromancer Bonelace armor from the crafter in Granite Citadel, and it's looking pretty sweet- I'll have to see what the final set looks like once I get another 25K to finish crafting it. One crafter is located in the Underworld(WaW area), and the other is in Granite Citadel, an outpost through the EA's in the Southern Shiverpeaks.
Basically these armors provide the same real benefit as the armor you can craft in Droknars or get on a PvP character- the only real advantage is in asthetical value. They look cool, and provide a nice goal for people wanting to set themselves apart from the crowd.

So is the armor in the Underworld the same ones as in Granite Citadel or do they have different looks?

the stats of your armour from Draknor's Forge are the best available. there is nothing better stat-wise. but some people want more than just stats.
if you want to look really damn cool, you gotta shell out a lot of money. 15k to be exact. I have no idea where this guy is, but I have seen bits and pieces of the armour, and I have to say, I want some. |

Dragon armour is not available at the forge. It has 85AL +10vs physical, where platemail is 80AL +20vs physical. So depending on preference one could say the forge doesnt have the best.

During the last BWE some people mention that there is a crafter in underworld... thats where the fire started, supposely these armor are eternal set or something... basically we assume that it look like ghostly hero.
Of course, I have never seen the crafter myself yet... I assume you find the crafter after you set one of the reaper free at their monument.... just don't know which one is with the crafter. There are about 6 total monuments... the easiest one to get to are the one near coldnight and stalkernight at the river... which is not the crafter one. edit: btw, there are not a single fan site I know out there that had updated their armor section. |
