I killed it when I was a noobie, didn't get any good drop. He's in the middle at the end of the river when it expands into a circle pond-ish thing. |

I dont know about drake hunting yet, but I do know doing mission after mission is not the proper way to keep the game interesting. The game is not designed for leveling, no, and strong items therefore are not 'done'. But its simply a fact that rpg players like to gather and a monster suddenly dropping something that makes you much stronger is really kicking And much more fun than looking at all those red dots and waiting for the right moment when they are separetad enough to kill some of them. I really would like the game to award killing monsters more instead of rewarding missions! And the simple need to team up everytime becomes a bit annoying after a while. So: Yes, let monsters drop good stuff, give good experience and dont force people into a team where everyone has 'equal powers' because after level 20 'it only depends on skill and not on stuff'...

I sell good items I don't need to people all the time. I don't spam the trade channel like some people do, but usually when I go to sell loot I have an extensive list of things up for grabs. This ensures that when I do sell stuff, most of the time I am going to take up a few lines in the trade channel. If the trade channel bothers you, and if as you have said you don't ever sell anything to other players, simply turn off the trade channel. Problem solved. |

To b e the ultimate warrior, you need the ultimate equipment, and so far I only have 3 Warrior Runes.. Only way is to get what other people need and trade with them.

You farm for money, so that you can afford the 15k armor later on. EDIT: Romac your wrong. Its the fact that a dragon sword looks cool, or that the 15k armor looks just a little different. Its true that you cant have any *uber* weps, but if you can afford it you can have some damn nice looking gear. Last edited by Manderlock; May 11, 2005 at 12:10 PM // 12:10.. |

Point is, you don't need to 'farm' anything. You don't need to merchant/trade. You don't need to make any special effort at all beyond picking creature drops up and selling what you don't need. By the time you get to where that armor is sold, you'll have 15k. More, in fact. |

Riverside?
Anyways, I've tried selling, even some awesome bows, hammers, things like that, even back in ascalon city, whatever. It just takes too much time to sell crap when most people filter out the trade channel. I just post what I'm selling, then I wait 5 mins, then get frustrated and don't sell. Sometimes, I do get the buyer quickly, but rarely. It seems that trading to people is for people who have alot more time on their hands, or for people that don't care about using alot of their time trading instead of playing and having fun. That's just my take on it. |

I say let people farm mediocre items from Drakes if they want to ... while they are sitting there farming crap items, the rest of us are pushing our way through the high level content and getting MUCH MUCH MUCH better items w/o having to do any farming at all.
People are farming because other games have taught them to do it ... it's not their fault they are ignorant. |

if someone wants to just use items that he/she picks up and not buy/sell/trade then the game economy and what other people enjoy doesn't affect them much at all

for me buying and selling is so much fun. i am a big morrowind fan. i love that game. but one of the great things about this game compared to that is the human aspect. i just love trying to wheel and deal.
