Can You Play GW While Internet Connection Down? - Guild Wars Forums

Ok somewhat of a goofy question here, but lets say I load GW on my laptop so I can play when I travel. Do I need to be actually connected to GW's servers to play the game or can I log-in to play and play locally unconnected to the Internet then later connect to the Internet and have my progress be updated? I am guessing the answer is no, but I figured I would ask since I wanted to be able to play on long flights and what not.

No, you cannt play GW while you do not have an active internet connection.

While this might seem like a nifty little feature at first glance, if character information were saved client side, it would be hacked.
