Do you have to buy new armour, or can you upgrade?
Can your starting armour be upgraded to (whatever), instead of buying new armour? or not? Does this apply to weapons as well?

No upgrading for your armor, other than putting a rune into the armor. You will come across armor crafters in different cities as you progress and they will have better armor available to buy with gold and crafting materials. This is the only way to get armor other than from trader collectors. Some collectors will give you armor if you find 5 of a certain item, but the downside is that collector armor cannot be salvaged, which means that if you put a rune into it you will not be able to get the rune back. You're better off sticking with Crafted Armor bought from NPC's, especially for your high end armors.
Weapons can be crafted at a Weapons crafter as well, but most of the good weapons are found by killing monsters. The only upgrading you can do for weapons is after you get them, take them to the Weapons guy and he will customize it adding 20% to it's damage. This can be done with every weapon for a small fee, and should be done to any weapon you are using. |

What defence is best for the rangers fur armour cause it seems pointless wasting valuable fur on the armour when in the next city it has better DF
