Pet question - Guild Wars Forums

I recently got myself a bear and it's only level 5, I would like to train him outside ascalon (level him up a bit). But if I kill a monster (and my pet is helping me) I get 0 xp. I was wondering does the pet get any xp if I don't get any?

as long as your pet is in a mission dead/alive he will gain experience

So if the pet is dead he will still gain exp? that's even better
