Make dye a shade lighter?
I've been toying around with a dye mixing program and for the life of me can't seem to make colors *lighter*. More specifically I'm trying to formulate a light or sky blue color but it seems impossible with the way the current colors available. Anybody know or have ideas?

I heard Blue + Silver makes Light Blue. Silver or Yellow would be my first guesses for making something lighter.

For all your dye mixing queries, I suggest you look in this thread. Ensign posted a nice colour chart in there, and also explained the results of the mixing. |

The thread said blue and yellow made some sort of tan, rust-like color. But I ended up doing 2 silvers and a blue to get a light, slightly metalic blue-greyish color that I'm fairly happy with. Not sure if wasting the extra silver was worth it but too late now.
Thanks for all the help guys. |
