Unlocking Wep Upgrades - Guild Wars Forums

..Such as sword hilts. I salvaged a sundering (armor penetration) sword hilt, yet my pvp chars don't seem to have it unlocked. Please help.

The act of identifying the item unlocks it, not salvaging. If someone else identified it then that person got the unlock.

Watch for people selling unidentified items in LA. I do it all the time. Usually sell for 200-300g each. I've reached the point where I have unlocked most of the common items so I don't bother with a lot of the weapons anymore.
