Try loading crappy skills that wont help you much, I know it doesnt sound that smart, but your mirror will use those skills and you simply do not have to. Just use the few good skills you have loaded. Wish I had some specific skills but I dont. Wait, use the 5 mana smiting skill (forgot name) that does area damage. When your mirror casts it, leave the area. But when you use it, your mirror wont leave.
Good luck. |

place high cast time skills that won't hurt you in any way. He'll waste his time casting them instead of attacking you. Then, you can either place a backfire on him at the start of the battle or keep power spike and inturrupt the useless spells to deal some damage.

max out domination magic and bring nothing but empathy. don't ever attack him
edit: also. just dodge his attacks (side stepping back and forth) he will still take damage form empathy even if he does not hit you. so if you can't get the attribute points. i sugest you dodge as many of his attacks as possible. since he keeps attacknig he wont regenerate health. so just keep empathy up on him all the time. or as much as possible if you can't keep it up Last edited by Viruzzz; May 20, 2005 at 03:31 AM // 03:31.. |

as a monk/necro I loaded out Smite Hex, Healing Hands, Symbol of Wrath, Balthazar's Aura, Retribution, Reversal of Fortune, Zealot's Fire and Insidious Parasite.
Used retribution first, then Zealots Fire, ran up to him, cast Healing Hands, Symbol of Wrath and Balthazar's Aura, then used Smite Hex because he had put Parasite on me, after that I had planned to just stand there using healing hands and RoF to stay alive and have Zealot's Fire and Retribution keep dealing damage until Symbol & Balthazar's had recharged... but he kinda died too quickly for that. If your mesmer second I'd say just load out some other hex that has a longer cooldown than Smite Hex and that won't hurt you, hexes that are set off by attacking are nice, as you don't want to be attacking anyway... then do the same thing, shouldn't be too much different. In hindsight though, Zealot's Fire might not have been the best choice if the fight had gone longer, as he could have used it to damage me, but it never became an issue. |

since you have mesmer secondary, try bringing something that has a high cast time and power spike, that will get you 80 damage right off the bat. take retribution from the monk smiting line, fiddle with divine boon as well.

I am a mo / me also and had a major pain beating the mirror. Thanks to some tips from my guild, Immortal Battalion, I was able to beat him with ease.
Read on, if you dare, and I will share exactly how it is done.... SPOILER BELOW, caution ! just equip retribution and reversal of fortune - no other skills you can cast retribution on yourself before you go in start attacking with wand, then spam reversal 3 or 4 wand hits > reversal > repeat the battle takes about 2 minutes. some people say dodge the arrows, but I didnt even mess with that, just kept hitting with wand (11-22 damage wand btw) and spamming reversal over and over. When he fell, I was at full health. Amazingly so, considering in all of my previous trys I never got him to even 60%. |

As has been noted, Empathy is your friend here. Just like Price of Failure is for Necros. Learn to dodge arrows...it will help you later anyway and the mirror is the easiest to learn off of. Just go up one of the ramps a bit so you stay higher than him, and thus reduce the damage when/if he does hit you. Took me less than a 80 seconds at level 15 with Price of Failure.
