When do you reappear at shrine after death?
When your entire party dies on a PvE map, you all reappear at a local shrine (except on cooperative missions, etc). That much I know.
What I can't figure out though is that, sometimes, I've died but people on my team are still alive, and I've reappeared at the shrine. Other times, I seem to be stuck there unless one of them has a rez ready. NPCs never seem to reappear at a shrine unless everybody dies. So am I crazy, or is there a way to reappear at a shrine without the entire party dying? I swear it's happened a couple of times, but I can't seem to repeat it. Is there a command I did that I've since forgotten that forces you to reappear at a shrine? I did a search on the forums and in the FAQs and can't find any info on the shrines, so any help is appreciated. Not knowing is driving me nuts! (Like last night, when my friend forgot to put rez on his skill list and I ended up stuck in the dirt until he zoned.) Thanks in advance for the help. |

It's a known bug which I've reported several times.

I'm gonna chalk it up to drug induced mania. When your whole party died, you all res at a shrine, end of story.

Thanks for the reply, but which part is the bug? Is the bug that you should only appear at the shrine when the entire party dies, or is it the bug that you're supposed to be able to reappear at the shrine when you die if noone has a rez but you don't? |

The only time you should reaapear at the shrine is when ALL of your party dies.

Last night I was questing with 4 henchmen. I died and the monk died and the necro dude died. The 2 warriors were still alive and fighting. Me and the monk res'ed way back at the res shrine. The necro dude stayed dead and the 2 fighters stayed fighting. Of course they were on the other side of the map and by the time me and the monk hoofed it back to there the 2 fighters were dead. It was interesting watching their health meters as we walked towards them.
That stupid Brawler I forget his name is not very good. His health meter just plummetted and he died pretty quick. Stefan, my trusted warrior companion on many quests, survived for quite a long time. At least 3-4 minutes before he finally died. At any event, they stayed dead until me and the monk arrived at which point she started raising them as we found their lifeless bodies. And of course then the monk promptly got stuck behind a stack of explosive barrels and I did not notice as I took the rest of the team into combat. Then I started wondering why we were getting killed so quick and noticed the monk was not with us :/ So we all died except for the monk and I found myself wishing we would res again at the shrine but alas we didn't. I was forced to zone out of the map because the monk was alive but could not move and so we could not re-rez. I really wish they would add a /rez command. Maybe it would only work when all player-controlled characters were dead to help with the problem of NPC's getting stuck. |

I'm not entirely sure. I seem to notice that your party is only resurrected while someone is alive if that someone cannot rez. If that someone can rez, then the game allows him/her to try to do so before being resurrected, if that person dies, and s/he was the only one alive who could rez, the dead members of the party are resurrected at the shrine. That's what happens with henchmen as; I've noticed that if only Alesia dies, Reyna uses the rez signet, and then we get to a fight where everyone dies but Reyna, we get rezed. If Alesia or Lina and another henchmen stays alive, we don't get rezed (Alesia and Lina can both rez).

Thats correct Alelo, the game knows who has a legitimate rez and won't move you to the shrine until no one in the party does, including henchmen.

But when this happened to me, Stefan was alive. And I know from experience that he can rez. He does it all the time when the stupid monk gets herself killed. It is rather nice as I do not have to carry around a rez signet.

Had the henchman used his sig shortly before the engine will not recognize it as availabe if it has been used even though in regular quest the sig does reset

=) You can't remember his name. hehe. There are two quests early on that involve him so his name just sticks in my head. But yes, he gets his but kicked fast. I think it's because he sprints and draws agro faster than Stefan. |

The bug is when you get revived while not everyone in the party is dead yet, this happens every once in a while. I feel like this is linked to how crowded the place your in is though.

Dazzler, the most likely reason is the henchie had already used his rez signet as someone else pointed out.
Phantium, I can't say if what you experienced was this but I do know that for teams with henchmen on them, if the last party member is a henchie who doesn't have a rez or has already used his signet, you will go the rez shrine. This was put in to prevent a problem of a team getting well into an EA, and all dying except a henchie who just kind of stands around looking dumb. If that happened everyone would have to zone and lose the progress they had made, which is what the rez shrines are supposed to prevent. I believe the same rules were implemented for human only teams, but I'm not certain. |

When using henchmen (which I do most of the time), I have noticed that if Stefan is still alive and fighting when the timer counts down, you and the rest of your party will rez. Sometimes I can get there before Stefan dies and sometimes not....however, as long as he isn't aggro, he usually last until I can get back and we can finish the job.
The brawler that I refuse to take with me anymore is Little Thom....he has no stamina whatsoever. |
