You can put one rune in each piece of armor. You can't put runes in weapons. However, you can put upgrade components (strings, hilts, etc.) in your weapons.

I'm willing to bet 1k that masks are indeed considered armor and are able to harness the power of runes. You should be able to put general/class-specific runes in anything that you can wear on yourself (all five parts: head, chest, hands, leggings, and feet), for each class.

You can put runes in your head pieces. I find that helpful as I put different runes on different head pieces and then switch them out depending on what build I feel like playing.
You can't use your sub's runes (at least it won't let me) though there are some general runes that can be used like Vigor. You also can't stack runes on one piece. Nor can you use more than one type. I.E. You could only use one type of air rune once (superior, major, or minor) and if you put the same type on 2 different pieces it still wont stack. |

I read these posts and noticed something was not mentioned. There is some armor I can craft that has a special stat to it already: Reduces damage from attacks. What I want to know is if I can add a rune enhancement to that ascalon armor and still get the rune enhancement plus the "reduces damage from attacks" stat. Has anyone tried this and found the answer to this?

I put two runes of minor vigor in two pieces of armor. Each one now says "increases maximum Health."
However, my health total has not changed. How do these actually work? |

You can only have 1 rune of each type working at a time. So if you have 2 minor vigor runes equipped, the game will only count 1 of them to your max life total. Same with the + attribute runes. If you have 2 minors waters, you only get +1 water. If you have 2 Superior Water's, you'll only get +3 water.

Anybody know the answer to my question? I don't want to waste a rune to find out if someone already knows.

Runes are exclusive in that only one of each rune "attribute" will keep if more than one is applied. Bonuses and penalties from runes also stack with your armor's natural abilities. If the bonus on your armor was from an old rune, then you will replace the old rune with the new. If the bonus was natural from crafting it, you will have two bonuses on that piece of armor. You *can* apply a rune of the same bonus type to that armor, again assuming the original bonus was NOT rune-based. E.g. if I have a servant's design with +1 healing, I can then apply a minor healing rune so its net bonus is +2 healing. However, if I attept to apply a minor healing rune to a piece of armor with a divine favor rune already applied, I will lose my divine favor rune and replace it with another healing rune. I will also NOT gain another +1 to my healing since I am already using a healing rune. [ ] |

i have a question when you said you can't use more than one rune of each type at the same time. could i use a minor rune of fire, and then a major and then a superior in 3 dif pieces of armor and get the benifits. or would i only get the superior.
