Questions. Armor upgrades and salvaging.
Hi!
I've read somewhere at this forum, that there is a difference between Salvage Kit and Expert Salvage Kit. As I reached level 12 and completed some quests and missions, I haven't seen any yet. Is it me or those articles I read reffered to a beta version of the game? No matter which Kit I use, I only get 1-2 common crafting materials out of salvage items or common (white or blue) items. Maybe there is a difference while salvaging rare (purple and gold) items? Also, I've read, that there is a possibility to upgrade weapons and armor with runes. Is it true? How can I do it? Thanks. |

Firstly, you need an expert salvage kit. (Available from most merchants not in Ascalon City).
Then you need to identify magic items. (Blue, Purple or Gold). When they have a rune in them it will say 'Rune Unlocked' on your screen and the item will have a prefix name or a sufix name. i.e: 'Crippling' Ascalon Axe of 'Shelter'. That had both a sufix and prefix. Crippling and Shelter. Both of those are runes and if you use your Expert salvage kit on it then you MAY get one of those runes as your salvage. Hope that helps. |

I did all that you mentioned and still got nothing. Bad luck maybe, I've just tried an Expert Kit a couple of times on items, that have runes. All the rest of the Kit I spent on salvage items, because I read, that I can gain more common crafting materials that way, which isn't true, I suppose.
What about upgrading weapons and armor AFTER I extracted those runes? How can I do it? As I understand, the point of extracting runes is to reuse them. Last edited by Ingvard; May 23, 2005 at 10:09 AM // 10:09.. |
