i keep on hearing about secondary class change missions, and i got intrested and decided i wanna go from W/R to W/M but how do u get these class change quest. And if theirs more than 1 wats the first one u do and were is it??

After you have ascended in the Crystal Desert, you can choose certain missions to change your secondary class. These locations are 'Seeker's Passage', 'Destiny's Gorge' and 'Heroes' Audience'. Don't worry, once you get to Droknar's Forge, you will be asked to go to each of these locations in a quest.

Doing the mission 'Path of the Necromancer' will allow you to change your secondary class to a necromancer, for example, but you don't NEED to. It's an option. So even if you complete it just for the xp, nothing will be changed.

These quests can actually be done before Ascension, if you're so inclined. You just need access to the desert, which requires beating Sanctum Cay.

I am pretty sure you can't do these quest until you Ascend - you can go to those towns but no one will give you the quests - at least they arn't giving me the quests.

I had the Path of the Mesmer BEFORE Ascension. So no, I believe that if you make it to the desert you can complete these quests even before ascending. But now that I know where the hell to look to change my profession I can finally do it.

Everyone says it happens after Ascension by doing an NPC quest... but they NEVER say where this quest/NPC is. I'm now off to those two locations (Seekers, and Audience)

I don't know what actually triggers these Second Profession quests, but I was sure of it it was the actual Ascension ... Meh. Don't know then.

You used to be able to do the secondary profession quests before Ascension, but I think it was changed in a recent update. I did them before Ascension with my first character, but I'm there now with my second and it's no longer possible.

I had that Mesmer profession quest before Ascension and within the last 48 hours (either Saturday or Friday). So no... I don't think anything has been changed. I think it's up to you to find them, and if you find them you can do them. I don't believe it has anything to do with Ascension.

Okay I have talked to every single NPC in each of those 3 locations and none of them give me anything.

So either its completly random or something is borked.

i just beat sanctum cay and i am in the desert level the oasis. Am i near the coorect spot to change?

I think you also have to make it to Droknars Forge also before you can do the class changes. Vanyi will give you a quest to find the 3 cities in the Desert which is what I think triggers the class change quests.

Nope, this is not the case.

It's possible that the Mesmer quest is possible before Ascension (I can't check that one seeing as my character is a Mo/Me), but I doubt it. I'll keep going back to them to see when it's triggered.

Edit: I just Ascended, and now the quests are available.
