Really depends on MANY factors, situations and builds based on professions - primary vs. secondary... etc. Elites, or regular? Heh.
For what it is worth, in my opinion, the best elite spell is mark of protection (assuming someone is not removing / countering enchants). Also, Martyr is nice too, especially when attacks are being dished out to everyone all at once (and especially in combo with restore condition spell on yourself.) Word of healing is also a great one... for 5 energy, and points in healing and divine, I can heal for more than 200 points a shot on an ally under 50% health (talk about energy conservation ). For normal skills, warriors LOVE healing seed I cast. Vengeance is nice to have for those times things go south and have people bounce right back up and keep fighting, lol. Jana |

It really depends on what type of monk you want to be, and if you're talking about best teaming skill, or solo-farming skill. Skills I use in farming are not necessarily handy in helping a team. Balthazars Aura can do 200+ dmg in 10 seconds to all creatures in an area. But if you don't have 10+ attributes in Smiting Prayers you won't get this level of damage. So like everything else it depends on how you play, and who you wanna be.

When dealing with heavy hitters, I love Protective Spirit. It can really turn anyone into a tank. What's nice is that the damage reduction of Shielding Hands is applied after the cap of Protective Spirit.
So, for example, if that heavy hitter is smacking you around for 150, and you have 450hp, he only does 45 damage to you. If you have Shielding hands on for 10 points of damage reduction, then you only take 35 points of damage. |
