question about unlocking items, upgrades, and customization
If I find a weapon, that "unlocks" an item for me, and then add a weapon upgrade to it, is it still possible for me to salvage the item I've unlocked?
For example, I find a bow that unlocks an ebon bow string. I upgrade the bow. I later salvage it... Do I still have a chance of getting the bow string? Is this probability any different from the probability before upgrading? (assume my upgrade does not replace the ebon string) Also, if I customize a weapon, is it possible to still salvage the unlocked item, and is the probability the same? |

Yes it is posible... all though you could just get the other upgrade that you added or use crafting mat.

from what i have read you can take an item with multiple upgrades and expert salvage it but you will get only 1 of the upgrades back and even that is not guaranteed

Just make sure that you don't upgrade with a different bow string You have a chance to salvage either of the upgrades currently on an item.

I've heard claims that it's possible to salvage upgrades, but I've never seen it happen.
