THIS CONTAINS RACIST LANGUAGE
I too would like to know how to report people, a person named "Lady Chicken Soup" told me to "go hide your face like a jew." Now Im not jewish, but wow do I find that wrong. Yes I have screen shots. |

This seems to be a common though sad trend.
People feel that they can do this in computer games since they stay anonymous. One (poor) attempt to restrict this was the introduction of filters for bad language. Other games that are run on a smaller scale can be overlooked by gamemasters who are able to have such players banned. This method takes advantage of the game CD-key or the IP adress, but many players know how to work around that as well. Please don't let those words get you personally. You can try to let those players know about what you think. Keep your words simple and reasonable. If they don't stop griefing you, break off from your current mission or change the district you are in. If they continue to bail you in a town or outpost using the local channel, don't reply or you might see that player flaming up things. You can always put those players on your Ignore list and tell them that you're about to do that. After all it is you who's playing your character and this is only a game which should mean fun. I know your frustration. |

While I totally agree with you, Mune, Im still wondering if there is a way to report people. Does anyone have an answer to this question?

There is a way, though I'm not sure how. After all, TCP leader from these boards had people report him due to his in-game name and he got banned for it, so, there seems there is a way.

look around on this site... if it wasn't here then it's on *another* guildwars site, the link to which you can find right next to this one on the main guildwars site, fansite index (forum index)
There should be a sticky on how to report abusive players. EDIT: found it, it wasn't on another site after all, it was in the community section (riverside inn) http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ead.php?t=4710 This thread is very useful and should also be stickied in here I think. As for the ignore, I've never tried to use it but I heard that it doesn't work. Last edited by DrSLUGFly; May 25, 2005 at 03:33 AM // 03:33.. |

On that note, is there a way to ignore people?

I suppose you could try [email protected], report a violation of the Rules of Conduct.

Yes there is a way to ignore someone though it seems to be bugged or only works occasionally. Its on the same page (forget which hotkey but it is under menu as well) as friends list. All you are supposed to have to do is type the players name in the box under ignore and hit enter and that players account is added to your list.
