Can a person equip more than 1 vigor rune?

No. only 1. Runes do not stack.

Does that mean you can have only 1 rune of each attribute type? 1 curse, 1 death magic etc.

I searched through the forum, and while it's pretty clear minor runes don't stack, what about minor and major? For instance, does anyone know if you can stack a major vigor and a minor vigor?

I'd guess and say, no, but I don't know for sure.

Minor, Major or Superior runes of the same type do not stack. You will get the effect of the highest rune only. Example: Minor Vigor and Major Vigor - only the Major has any effect.
