Yea..lots of skills. I think the game is geared toward the more hardcore player cause the player base has gotten alot smaller in the last week. My friends already quit said its too much. But im enjoying it so far.

If you really need someone to tell you what to use, I would suggest hopping over to The Campfire and sifting through the Necromancer Basics thread or through the myriad other threads in that forum. That's the best and quickest way of finding something that others found to be useful. Good luck in finding the build that's right for you! |

What I did (and the skills will keep growing man, you've got loads left) is every time I get a new skill I use it at it's lowest level (I only add attribute points to skills I already know I'll be using) and I use it for a while in adventures. If I find it very useful right away then I move it towards the lower number spells (1,2,3,4) and if I don't use it much I move it to the other end (5,6.... 7,8 are reserved for lesser energy and resurrect)
Most of my spells are useless, not because they're bad spells but because they don't fit my play style. necrotic traversal gets me killed flat out every time. So just experiment man, play around with them and see what happens. The ones that feel comfortable to you are the good spells, the ones that don't feel comfortable are the bad spells. it also helps to select spells all from the same discipline so that you can pump more points into that discipline (curses, etc.) |

The more skills the more fun I say . Let me just say I hate the ranger skills they are awful half of them are for your pet which hardly does damage anyway and the others are silly bow attacks which does hardly any damage aswell I use ignite arrows with a bit of dual shot and flurry to speeden it up thats the best combo for a ranger

Read their descriptions and try 'em out.
Its not like you can't change them whenever you want in a town. Read the campfire forums for suggestions. Even if you see something in an attribute tree you haven't invested in, go for it and have no fear. Attribute refund points replenish so quickly, it's practically free. |

My favorite kind of problem. Too many choices. Try what Tavelen suggested. Try them out in and figure out which ones work for you. Be aware though, as you move through the game the bad guys change. So a skill that isn't much use in one place will save your butt in another. Don't get too locked into a particular set of skills. Most players have their favorites and then a selection that they use in particular situation.
