Questions about Dye, Dying things, etc.
I've heard so many conflicting things in the game and search hasn't really turned up much... so, the following questions for anyone who knows:
1) Do dye colors stay with you across upgrades? (I assume not, but never hurts to ask.) 2) How do you (or can you) get cloth to be one color and trim to be another? Thanks. |

1) No, dye on one piece of armour stays on that armour... adding upgrades to weapons shouldn't affect a weapon's dyed colour.
2) You can't... using dye on an item and getting whatever result you get is final... no picking and choosing where your dye goes. Don't forget you can mix dyes... also, dying certain weapons (such as a half moon bow) will have no affect, unfortunatly... so I suggest using a cheap dye, like purple first on something to see the result, then remove the dye and apply your preferred one if you want to. Speaking of mixed dyes... Silver acts effectively as "White" when mixing, so Silver and Red, make Pink, etc.

So if I wanted a black cloth with silver trim, I would first use black on the piece, then follow it with Silver. This is my understanding of "How Things Work" but I have yet to have anyone actually confirm this is how they have seen it operate.... so I'm curious if this actually works differently Post-Searing. Guess I'll see soon. |
