so far as ive seen

Axe warriors get the short end of the stick.

theres swords and hammers galore all with nice added stats but on the 1 in 30 drop chance i see an axe its basic axe with stats alot lower that deserves to be in pre searing.

Yaks bend yeilded around 3 hammer - one purple with added stats, loads of bows, and 2 swords with some nice bits.
And one axe summit axe - dmg max 10, nothing else on it.

OOOOO whooopeee, picked up my axe - 6-14 and customised it, way back in the breach.
So there you got an idea how often good axes drop.

We get some nice attacks and deal out some hefty dmg - axe guys should be valuable in a grp as you know they gonna kick out some dmg and be as fast as swords guy. So see an axe warrior and think dmg dealer.
Add elementalist to the mix (ie my build) and you got a heavy duty dmg dealer!

Anyone shed any different light on axes?

Chaos Axe from FoW kicks serious butt, in looks as well as stats. Just gotta get lucky and get a good one.

Sorry furthest ive seen is frost gate is it? that place anyway.

PLus notice how on collectors there is swords and hammers on offer as rewards but no axes...

not bad as like being in the minority but still equal rights and all that

thats worlds ahead of you, or at least till you can successfully do it, just keep trying and youll get some, or go buy one at ascolon city from a person.

i rarely see swords as rewards or even swords dropping(currently at d'allesio)

Well if you see axes dropping write down my name and ill keep some of the swords and we can meet up and swap! hehe

Pikens square either collector or quest reward cant remember now gives out a nice sword lots of stats on it and it looks cool too.

I kinda feel the same way, I am an axe warrior and I feel like I got shafted.

I think you both are just pretty unlucky, there's no "more dropped" and "less dropped" in weapon classes....sometimes I got days were I find bows only, sometimes more axes or more swords....it's totally random..

Personally I hardly ever see swords drop. I see plenty of axes. It's just the luck of the draw really.

If you can tough out using whatever you have now, you can most likely buy an axe from someone in Lion's Arch. Or just keep pounding away on enemies and you'll eventually find what you need.

That's so different than what I've seen. Never has a decent sword dropped for me. In fact everything has been for axes. I also have found 2 purple axes around yaks or the courthouse I believe and 5-6 things for axes like those shafts or whatever they are called. I've wanted to play sword, but destiny has chosen the axe for me so I will stick with it.

Well if i get some swords I will be in around yaks or the gates past that and I start a swap service.

So remember name swords guys, keep hold of your axes!

No money involved just a like for like.

I have to say as an axe warrior as well there are lots of axe drops, just all low level equip. I too had a summit axe upgraded with an axe handle of fortitude, but still low damage. I had to buckle under and buy an 6-25 damage axe from a seller, I was tired of waiting for a good drop and I'm level 19 now. Can't remember at what point I am, Bloodstone Fen I think. I know there is no "hold" on certin equip for drops, but it does seem that some are further and far between than others.
