A question about swords, their damage, and elements. - Guild Wars Forums

I have heard that 15-22 is the best damage that a sword can get. Which leads me to my next question... What are the best hilts/pommels to have, and does anyone have a list of them? Fiery Dragon Swords seem to be the most popular because they look cool, but are they really the best? I don't know which elements beat which in this game, but it sure doesn't make any weakness clear. I'm assuming just as some enemies are weak to fire, others will be strong to it. I don't know if there are any non-elemental hilts or not, but what do you think the best hilt/pommel is? And considering all of the swords (I think) can reach max damage, the only thing that *TRULY* matters is how it looks? If so I would probably go with the Long Sword, it has the best look to me. I mean I should go with a neutral sword since some enemies will be strong to fire? Or what? Thank you.

O.K. well I bought a 15-22 Butterfly Sword that I only want to put the best hilt/pommel on, any suggestions? And I picked up a 15-22 Fiery Dragon Sword as well...any idea of what I should put on it? And since it's already fiery I'm assuming I can't add a hilt? Or what? What is the best element to have that is strong against most and weak to few?
