Well, They are pretty well balanced with people playing, I find the funnest (Not a word, but w/e) to be was Ranger. I like how the arrows, and traps work, It brings a whole new tactic into the game, Plus before I chose, I was wastching the movie "The Hunted" (GREAT) and it got me in a silent killer mood

Personally I'm Elementalist/Ranger. Simply because I find Elementalists the way to go with their massive damage output. I added the ranger profession because I like the idea of pets. Quite useful as a minor tank while I dish out my damage, too.
But it is beginning to get a little less effective as I progress, as do most characters anyways, but I have an idea of Warrior/Elementalist with Elementalist Earth Skills. There are loads of auras that increase your defense and whatnot which would really compliment the Warrior style. Now that I've got a fair pocket of gold (18,000 at level 15), I think I might start up a new character soon. Plus I can easily find some great starting gear for a new character, too. |

All of the professions can be fun. I was *very* leery of Mesmer when I first read about it, but tried an E/Me and now a Me/E. Why the switch? I found that I was using more Mesmer skills on my E/Me than Elementalist. Mesmers are just fun. But, as I said, they are all fun in their ways. Learn to play each profession the way it is meant to be played. I got party paired with a E/Ne one evening and the dude didn't use ANY skills/spells. He was using a Warrior's Hammer. Sigh.

let me start by saying this, i play world of warcraft and there are tons of rogues and a shortage of healers (priests), i was wondering if there are any classes that there are a shortage of on GW that can be more usefull to the game, like would it be easier for me to be a monk and find a group then lets say a ranger to find a group?

You will have an easy time find groups as a monk.
