Conjure Lightning
Does this spell and the ones for the other elements work with melee weapons? Or do they have to do that specific type of dmg before it works?

They have to have that type of damage. You can add elemental damage to weapons using upgrades like hilts, pommels, axe hafts and so on.

Yes, they work with all weapons... But they don't add damage to spells (ie: it will add damage to your wand, but not to Lightning Orb).
Before it will work, though, you need to change your weapon's damage to the appropriate type. For isntance, Conjure Lightning requires that your damage type is Lightning Damage. That means, for a sword, bow, axe, hammer, and so on, you need to add a 'Shocking' mod to it. In the case of a sword, I think it's a Shocking Sword Hilt... or Maybe it's the Pummol... I dunno... I don't use warriors... |

Its a sword hilt. Hilts add the prefix mod.
