New Char... !!1!!!
HiyaZ :P
I will be starting this game in a few weeks. I'd just like yer feedback on which class would be good for a newbi !! :P So far I like the Ranger/Necromancer combo, but if I take 2 diff classes, does that make me weaker in both? Like I won't ever get to a full potential in either one? Peeeeze some feedback. I know that I can just restart from the begginning if I don't like what I've taken, cause thers just 20 levels but yeh, what to expect when you get to a higher level, like who has the coolest weapons n' stuffin'. Whos' the best to go solo and stuff. |

You can't go through the searing (past tutorial stage) unless you take a second profession. I've not played a Necro, but my first char was a Ranger, it's a nice class to play. I'd imagine with the ranger pet and the minions you summon as a Necro you'd have a pretty cool army to fight with you

Well, i could say "best" starting char would be warrior(/monk) because its (maybe) easiest to start with. You will learn fighting basics with it. When you know how to fight with warrior then you can move up to more complex characters.
You have to take 2 classes. And no, it wont make you weaker but stronger, because you have skills available from both classes. |

Welcome to the wonderfull life of a ranger !1one!!!.
It is no noobie class, as can be very hard to play IMO. But I find it a very fun class when compared to my grunt (warrior). |

Yep, Ranger I would start with or a Warrior. Mage could be amusing...

Ranger/Mesmer is pretty cool too, its worked well for me so far in roleplaying and PvP
I heard many people not like R/N that much though, but its all personal opinions. |

Mage/Necro was my first class I chose.
I then made a Mage/Mesmer after that, loving it. |

I really like my R/Mo... it's a handy class for both good damage and helping your allies.

I'm a ranger/necro, and its great. As someone mentioned you can have a pet (my pet hog is named after the mrs - heh), plus you can have summoned minions at the same time. I made sure I got the pet ASAP so I could level him up each time i did.
Good choice :-) |

My ranger/mesmer is the same character I started with. I love her and she does well alone without ANY party.
My fighter/elementalist got from pre-searing to yaks without dying once (meaning i recommend that build) |

I have the reverse, a Necro / Ranger. At level 14, I was helping a fellow guild member on a quest post sear by Piken Square. It was then that the whole party was slain except myself and my lvl 13 M. Stalker. I faced off against eight Char and survived... barely. The combo of pet, undead, vampiric gaze, life siphon, and exploiting corpses for health, made me a real survivor though it wasn't flashy at all. So this is a good combo even though it doesn't do mass melee damage like my warrior, or flashy firey damage like my friends Elementalist.

My first and only character is a ranger/necro. I love him, but I do feel that it is a harder combo to start with unless you are an experiance RPGer then I would start with a War/Mo, just because they are a no brainer compared to the Ranger.
