Question About The Drake Drops
Ok question is ....Do drakes drop better when the team full of human players other than computer mercs.
I killed a island of drakes group full of human players and they droped about 2 yellow items and about 5 purple ones on one run. I did the same run with computer played mercs and they drop very very rare never find 1 yellow one when i do them with computer controlled ones and when im lucky only 1 purple drops, and this is after many runs. Just people been saying they have a better chance drop if there just human played chars in the group just wondering if its true. |

so your drops are still being split six ways with a 6 man group, you just can't tell what you don't get. EDIT: clearing it up, henchmen drops % = same .. just doesn't show up when something drops. |

Well the odds that a henchie group will give you rare items and you actually seeing them are slim. Because you hve to divvy up the spoils to 5 other crewmembers. If you have 5 other players, you'll notice more reare drops, because you'll notice more drops overall. I actually got 3 yellow drops doing a mission to Ventari's haven(?). I got one before that trying to do it with idiot team members, before I had to map travel back because 4 of my teammates left. So that makes 4 yellow items in the same area, same mission, in the spanse of a half hour. I was stoked.

i have noticed that the drop rates do change but as Communist Robot said, the items could have droped, just the henchmen "picked it up" because if u look closely when u pick up gold, the henchmen also get a cut in the profits. so it still is sharing with the Henchmen as if they were regulat pc's

Aparently, in the beginning (before the BWE's) monsters did make visible drops assigned o the henchmen. It was just so frustrating for the players when they saw some desirable drop they couldn't get that the henchmen drops was made invisible. At least with the other human players, you have a chance to trade for the item.

i wish they had kept the drops in actually. all u would have to do is wait awhile for the drops to lose their assigned drop name.

Yes say what you wnat but if you think of the henchies as real people they do desrve their cut. ALso it would penalize teams of real players only given a fraction of the loot they would get from partying with AI bots. The way it is now is fair it DOES NOT need to change. I would rather not know what the henchman get.

but, the henchies are NOT real people... and you SHOULD get EVERY drop...
its not right that the henchies get drops.. and Marcus, i WOULD like to see what the henchies get.. lol ... ... i just thought of something... where do the items the henchies get go to? theres probably like, this HUGE storage thing where all the items go to, and the AN team, and everyone who contributed to making GW can just pick and choose the "uber 1337" items, and pwn us with them.. lol just my thought |

but master the idea is that they represent real people and if they got nothing from the drops everyone would use henchman to get 6x as much loot than they would partying with friends. It would virtually kill what little community that now exists within the PvE game

Henchmen don't cost any money to "hire" so they take their cut of the loot. Either that or pay them up front. Personally, I'd rather do the latter. I've never gotten a rare when partied with henchmen and have seen very few purples as well. I wouldn't be surprised if there was a bit of code that altered drops somewhat when partied with henchmen. There's enough anecdotal evidence out there to support this. |

It would be unfair to give us all the gold/items with a band of henchies.
They get paid by the share of gold and items that drop. It is frustrating sure, but it would be moreso to see the items that I cannot have... There aren't really any 'uber' items anyway, just those that are more valuable merely due to color, like the golden/yellow items that are more valuable than purple, and purple more valuable than blue. The blue might have the same mods as a gold but be worth less due to the color alone... Interesting way to think about it really... |

yea... i guess the henchies get paid, cuz AN wanted it to be more... realistic.
but, they stopped the realism at the whole money and item thing... henchies should comment on stuff, like, say: "Don't worry Lord Of The Dawn! I'll save you!" or something like that... or, say stuff like rurik does when he goes to fight charr... except not as cheesy... |

So what is up with the whole drake hunting craze? I was at Gates of Kryta trying to get a party for the mission but everyone just wanted to do Drake runs. Are Drakes the best place to farm items? Seems like there would be even higher level creatures further down the road that drop better items.
