Earth damage?
i know what fiery, lightning, and icy bow strings can do but what does earth damage do? this guy wanted to sell me an Ebony bow string with earth damage.

exactly what is earth damage? grass, dirt, mud, water, air damage? i know that fire damage is good against icy enemies while ice damage is good against fiery enemies. what about earth damage?

Earth damage is good against everybody except those coming out of earth or mud or rock, like sand/rock elementals, worms etc. Check elementalist's skill trees and you'll see there are earth magic skills, and hence, there's earth damage on weapon so you can use conjure to apply more damage to your earth damage weapons. Hope that helps.

As Fire and Water are opposed, I imagine that Air and Earth are also opposed. Meaning that Earth should do most damage against Air type enemies, and Air do most against Earth.
Earth is rocks and volcanic sort of things mostly. Stone Elementals, Trees that throw rocks at you, those are Earth type enemies and Earth damage should do less damage to them. I don't know what sort of enemies do Air damage. |
