Healing Hands and Mark of Protection???
Looking at these 2 elite skills I have a few questions I was hoping you could help me out with.
Healing Hands: For 10 seconds, Healing Hands heals target ally for 5-21 points each time that ally suffers Physical damage. Does that mean that the ally does not take any damage or takes the difference? What I mean is lets say you get hit for 42 and you have max healing hands. Do you lose 21 health (42-21) or do you just gain the 21 and take no damage at all? Mark of Protection: or 10 seconds, whenever target ally would take damage, that ally is healed for that amount instead, maximum 6-49. All your Protection Prayers are disabled for 10 seconds. Basically same question...Do you take the difference of the damage or no damage just health TIA! Neo |

1st one, you take 42 damage and get healed for 21 so above your head you will see -42 +21
2nd one, you take 0 damage and are healed for the amount the damage would have been. So above your head you see -0 +XX for the heal. |

Is mark of protection a one time thing, like reversal of fortune? Like it does that for only one hit, not everytime you are hit in tose 10 seconds

So as a monk trying to PVE solo which is better in your opinions? It seems to me that mark of protection would be assuming it lasts the full 10 seconds with no damage.

I'd use mark of protection over healing hands any day. The differences are really that mark of protection requires 15 energy, 1 second to cast, and has a 45 second cooldown. Healing hands requires 10 energy, 3/4 second to cast, and only has a 25 second cooldown. If your farming fight goes over 10 seconds, you might be in trouble though. That's really the benefit of using Shield of Judgement over either of them, since it lasts 15 seconds (17 on me with my +15% enchantment time). That and the fact that it does +damage whenever they hit the shield and they fall down. With 9 regen pips, I get hurt but not TOO bad when I'm using shield of judgement.
I've considered testing out the mark of protection path in some areas to see how it works though. It's an interesting skill. |
