Lions Arch Portal Question - Guild Wars Forums

Up by the storage, there is a closed door with a white portal haze over it, at first I thought it was the gate you come through when you beat the gates of Kryta, But after looking at the map, it looks like it goes to the top section of the fort, and area you normally can't get to. Am I just wasting my time wondering?

I'll add some pure speculation to the conversation...

Perhaps it's for a later mission or quest. I haven't finished the storyline yet, so there might be something waiting there for me.

Or, alternatively, it could be an area for further expansion in later modules...

Isn't there also something like this in the Amnoon Oasis? I remember there is a gate that blocks a path leading to a port.

There are a lot of places like this. Also if you look on a completed map of the entire world there are huge sections mission to the left of the desert and the top left hand corner of the maguma jungle. These may be places for whole new areas in future expansions.

thats the gates of kryta gate you came through from the mission to get into lions arch. its closed cause its a one way passage... In only... Upon completing the mission.
