can somone please help me find oswalt? i'v looked everywhere and i need to find him to get my reward.. (this quest is in yak bens)

It is bugged. Noone knows where he is. (supposed to be dead right?) My suggestion just skip it. Not worth the time for only 500 exp.

It's not bugged other people have done it....once you go to the foothills just follow your arrow.

Unless Anet fixed this, Oswalt's ghost appears by his tombstone and you have to talk to him before you leave. Once you leave, he won't come back and you have to abandon the quest and if you so desire, restart it.

To sum it up, this quest is sort of semi-bugged.

It's perfectly doable, but you have to get it right the first time. Honestly though, it's kind of hard to miss. You click the tombstone and BAM, there's a guy right in front of your face with a green ! over his head. And yet, so many miss it. Are people just sprinting in, clicking the tombstone and immediately map-porting out as quickly as they can before the aggro train they didn't bother to take care of lays them to waste? Or perhaps sometime he just doesn't appear after you click the tombstone? (an even worse bug)

Sometimes he just doesn't appear. Just did the quest and no npc appeared in front of the tombstone.
