Beating Mirror with E/Mo14
I'm sorry, im sure this question has been done over and over but I couldn't find it.
How would I beat a mirror with An e/mo? I tried 6 fire spells and 2 air spells, all air mastery and pyromancer armor. He still owns me |

I found firestorm to be a great help. My mirror would always throw it and I could easily step out of the damage area, but when I threw it, the mirror would stand there and take it. That's a couple hundred points difference from one spell alone. Of course, I was lv 20 at the time. Dunno how much that will help someone who's honestly way too low to be there in the first place.

Fill your skill bar with as much useless spell as possible. I was fire when I did mine, so I put Earth Attunement, Air Attunement, etc. You can put the ward against mele etc... and use Fire Storm and Meteor Shower as attack spell.. he will use them, but just move from the area of damage and you should kill him pretty fast. But don't use Flare, Fireball, Phoenix.
And as you said, it was said lot of time in the forums (I even read it again this morning). I used the search option with : Mirror and I got a lot of link.. http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...ghlight=mirror |

I just don't think the mirror was intended to be beaten by nerfing it with a bar full of useless spells. Maybe not an exploit per se, but I would think it takes something away from the game. I beat my mirror (several times) using EXACTLY the same build I had been using up to that point. I didn't change a single attribute or skill, just figured out how to make what I had work. Seems more satisfying to me. Though I do feel sorry for the poor healing monks.

dude beating the mirror is the easiest part in the game for a ele. I have no clue why everyone keeps losing it to him. Just cast meteor shower and searing heat and watch it die in 6-10 sec. I killed my mirror 3 times in a roll because I was bored. Killed my mirror at lvl 18 Ele/Mes

Ascalon Settlement is straight north of D'Allasio, just west of the beach.

An alternative strategy is to equip maelstrom and your most damaging spells. Immediately cast maelstrom when the fight begins and then go into your damage spells. The mirror won't be able to cast back until maelstrom is over and by then you should have enough of a health advantage to win easily.

Fill up 1st 4 hotbar slots with most damaging spells, with the exception of AoE spells (something like flare, Meteor, etc.). Fill up the last spot with worthless spells (I put rez sig, crappy air spell, etc.). Do not put any healing or HoT spell on any slot. You should do fine.
The first thing I did when I entered was immediately cast Meteor and knocked my mirror down. While he was down I was casting a nuke and then followed up with another Meteor. I was lvl 18 when I ascended though, so I don't know what it will be like at lvl 14. |
