If you cast a SoC while you have an Elite in you get both, until you go through a waypoint or enter a new town. Then you only have access to one of them.
My experiance has shown that you keep the most recent one equiped, but there may be another system than that. You may learn to spell words in completion and use complete sentances, however, before the next time you post. |

His post was coherent - you're a bit too demanding.

From my personal experience, you get to keep both elite skills until you PURPOSEFULLY try to put in another one and/or move the existing ones around and/or otherwise alter your current skill set. If you leave it alon though, you can have 2 elite skills for an indefinite period of time.

I've done this and when I got back to town I would lose one of the elite skills from my current skill set. However, I was able to use both the just-captured elite and the one I brought into the area indefinitely until I did go to town.

So until you get to town, you are wielding two elites? Pretty nice

Yep.
Though in theory, with some luck, a Mesmer could have 4 slots filled with elites temporarily. Thanks to Arcane Echo, Arcane Thievery (that's where the luck comes in), and Arcane Mimicry on top of their own. I was thinking it was 5, but I realized that would require Echo, which is itself an elite. Edit: Could get 5 with a new capture, though... Last edited by Rajamic; Jun 07, 2005 at 07:15 AM // 07:15.. Let me put this into perspective: You can instantly use a successfully captured skill, however, if you move to stop it, or get knocked down/interrupted, you lose that skill and will have to wait 30 seconds to take another shot at it.
