A couple questions
I have a ranger and I was wondering what a good 2nd profession would be, also I need good amour for him where can i find some, also after the searing does the world get all destoyed and ugly and stuff.

It depends on what you're gonna want to be doing. Personally if you are a ranger I'd choose a supporting class. Like Elementalist or something.

A R/Mo, R/Mes, R/E, and R/N are considered for the most part all pretty viable builds and to add to that, some even run a pure Ranger. There has been some recent debate about the effectiveness of a R/W...you see, the R/W would most likely be the only one of the primary Rangers that would use another weapon besides a bow to attack (for example, they would build up the sword, hammer, or ax attribute), so this effectively turns the Ranger into a close combat melee attacker. Some would argue that Tanking should be left strictly to Warriors due to their high armor while others argue that the R/W has the second best armor and has tons of skills that help evade, block and hinder attacks...
You can change your second profession later on towards the end of the game, so the best advice I can give you is see what other people say in your thread and look at the job skillsets, and check out the build directory here at guildwarsguru. |
