If you want to marry, try in real live. This is a ORPG for pete's sake.

Let some other game have a marriage system, in all honesty its not just nerdy, its pathetic. No offence to anyone who wants and before I get jumped on, I married a girl I met online and still am happy married almost a year later. But I did not meet her in a game infact she doesn't play games. Which is fine cause I will always know I'm better at something anyway.
But back to the point. Right now GW towns, cities and forts have enough "will take off clothes and dance for 50g!" already. We certainly don't need weddings added to the mix. The game right now as a nice solid feel to it, wondeful story IMO and great challanges. The sight of people stripping their characters of armor and having them dance around while others watch is tolerable. Having people looking to get "married" would ruin it for me. If a couple in real life decided to REALLY get married and did so on the game, well the little nerd in me would probably find that ok. But to have a marriage system, come on... just join a guild with your "partner" and do everything together. Next thing you know there will be Romeo and Juliet situations between guilds... oops now there will be, I gave an idea. |

I wouldn't put it passed the developers to put in a marriage system. I wouldnt mind one either, not that I'm gonna run off and get married, but it's alot more interesting than hanging out in Lion's Arch and watching the trade channel (speaking from PvE sense of course). And let's face facts, this is the least social MMO ever. Maybe this'll change things for the better. |

It is fun to read some posts in this thread. Some people think their opinion is the right way and the only reasonable way. If someone want to marry someone else in game, it's their personal choice and probably the best way for them because they have decided to do so. Marriage can be done already. It requires just a little bit imagination.
Mostly marriage system probably would be just abused so it should be in private instance rather than in public. Although maybe allowing more players and have long delay before you can make another so there wouldn't be server bandwidth spamming. |

I have two contrasting opinions on this
1) marriage would improve community by bringing people together. 2) marriage would clog up the chat even more and it would just make the game bad seeing people spam "Whisper me if you want to mairy a h0t $exy rIc!-! person!!" (sorry bout any 'illegal' stuff just making a point) |
