Superior Absorb stuff - Guild Wars Forums

Hi! I was wondering if putting sup absrob on my helm was a good idea. Also wondering if not if I should expert salvage it n put it somewhere else. I was told that it only works at the place where u get hit the most and thats where I got confused.

Does anyone know how reduce damage on armors and superior absorbtion will work if stacked on one piece? and should I slavage the HELM and get the absorb and put it on another armor part?

EDIT: Superior Absorb and Vigor isn't expensive if your the one who found it

(I found both but lost the Vigor during salvage)

aborption rune will affect all 5 pieces armor you are wearing
- regardless of which piece you put the rune on

(this assumes you are wearing the rune)

The prevailing intrinsic love of superior absorption always confuses me, then I think I must have missed something.

So the superior will reduce 75 hp and give -2 more dmg above the minor ones, (and cost you a fortune), that implies you have to at least take 37.5 hits per battle. Oh ye, you probably will take 30-50 hits per battle. After the 38 hits, you will start to benefit.

But the problem is: "in the long run, we are all dead." Suppose each hit is 40 dmg, then reduced to 38 dmg, and you have 500 hp, then you would die on the 14th hits. That will remind us of one important concept: we have a healer in team for a purpose.

So as a healer, do you want your tank to have 75 more hp, or have an ability to reduce damage from 40 to 38?

Superior absorption does not take off life, it is like the vigor runes in that respect =P

Wow! that I don't know!

My monk farmed to 550K xp before drop changes, and I still haven't found a super vigor or absorption. I also realized superior vigor is +50 instead of +75...

lol i lost a few Superior runes during farming season at Cay, but most of the sucked. Giants and there amazing 100xp
