:( Guild Database
Ok, I've been very patient and submitted three times now Guided By Voices to the Guild Database. I'm very dissapointed that it's not posted and yes, we are (maybe not for much longer) linked to the guru site.
I would like an explanation on why this is happening or if anyone else is having this issue. I've done everything the reqirements say and I'm tired of fighting for this. I want to know if we're gonna be added or not and why. |

It's usually very fast, there A. might be a problem with server B. some kind of problem with your posting. I'm sure you'll find out soon.
Good luck with it, keep up the patience. Asension |

I checked the database and there is no such guild present. You may want to re-submit it (PM when you do).

I am disappointed too. We are not on the guild database and we cannot start a guild thread here either. I really question whether most of the guilds on the guild database are still active. The best way to see if a guild was active was when they kept posting weekly here on the guild auditorium. I really hope Guru Forums will allow weekly posts again.

It sometimes takes a few days to make changes Heretic's Fork so give them some time. If it goes longer than that, then you may need to contact one of the admins directly...

I think I've nailed it. Under the name Heretic's Fork it wouldn't work. If the database is SQL based, it often won't recognize the ['] with any value causing a syntax error. I created another account without the ' to correct this, and now my information isn't blank when I go back to edit my listing. I'm sorry for getting discouraged about this and I hope I didn't break any rules by creating a new account.

Right now we have a queue of around 100-150 - just a vicious backlog it seems. I will try to get some of it lessened today. |

Well the thing is. I didn't get an error when I submitted the information on the other account. I got the confirmation and the info to link to my page. But if I went back to the add/edit function there would be nothing there. I've had this issue before with SQL stuff. It just took a while to occur that this was the issue. So then I decided under a name without the ' and the information was retained. Now we're finally listed!
In title fields such as Name, Location,...ect. the ' represents 0. This will cause an error. However if it's a description field it will look at the whole field area instead of the text within it. Dashes and slashes have values but for some reason SQL defaults ' value to 0. Thanks for all your help to everyone that looked into this. |
