Lost... need desparate help!
I'm apparently incapable of using the search function because I couldn't find what I was looking for..
can someone direct me with a link that discusses how to obtain the armor pieces in pre-seared Ascalon? Much obliged :]. |

don't waste your time.
the armor in Pre-Sear is useless and you really don't need it. once you get to post-sear there will be an armor trader in Old Ascalon...buy that set of armor when you get there. |

Don't bother, the ac gained in the new armor piece for pre-searing aren't worth it (like 2 additional ac per piece)... I would suggest not worrying about the armor piece in pre-searing and save up materials for post-searing.
As soon as you complete pre-searing, you are dropped into post searing ascalon and right away there is an armor vendor that will craft armor for you. (the good stuff)... It can be costly though, so make sure you have 150g for each piece as well as a stash of materials for making it (i.e. if your a necro make sure you have tanned hids and cloth... and some iron ingots as well i believe) |

you know, it's nice that people can help you 'skip' the introductory portion of the game, and then you can be on your way to annoying the crap out of everybody later on cause you skipped all the basics. This is why there are so many incapable players out there these days.
I'm not trying to say that forever, is stupid or anything like that, i'm suggesting learning as much as you can before leaving pre searing. As for the armor, it doesnt hurt anything to get it, it doesn't cost you any money, and if you decide you would like to learn the fundamentals of the game before trying to play with everyone else, I would invest the few minutes it takes to get that 'worthless' armor, it can also be sold after you leave pre searing when you do get the new armor. as for collector locations, their is a thread in community tools and resources I think, but it would also help if I knew what class you are because there's some different collectors for different classes Anyway, if you you do rush through the foundation area known as pre searing because people offered you help, be warned that as soon as you ask someone a question that seems simple, you may be considered a ripe target for "noob" flaming,( I hate that word) goodluck, whatever you decide to do... -reiden |

Definitely skip the armour in pre-searing....unless you just want to collect those things needed for trading with collectors.
As well - I have buttloads of materials for all classes, that I know I wont be using unless I make another build...but I love my E/Mo right now and dont see it changing. IGN - Cynder Burn |

Thanks for the support rambis, and Reiden originally I thought that through too. I already know the basics of the game, as this new character is my 3rd. Its just casual that I always get the armor pieces for each of the classes I have in pre-seer.. its just one of those things I'm picky about. Anyway, I shall continue my search through forums and in pre-sear, I suppose :]. If not, Ill just give up on the tradition and skip it :O.
Thank you for the support as well Volarian. |

oh! well then I guess it's just up to your personal prefference
and no, I didn't say you'd be worse off, but it only takes a few mins to get the armor, so if your planning on spending some time in pre sear, might as well thats all. I always get the armor to |

funny thing about it....is that I was a lvl 9 when I left pre-sear the first time(ok I was a lvl 3 the FIRST time but I promptly deleted that character)...and I'm currently a lvl9 on my ALT character with no expectation of leaving pre-sear anytime soon.....I LOVE farming Char |

lol, thats what i'm doing with one of my chars
but if you do that, you do need armor, no way you could farm those guys without it other than farming char, that char is for helping out new chars, (mainly friends who start playing) that way I can be around showing them things, rather than just trying to tell them. |
