Max attributes points question
200 total points is the max and you can get o more correct? Do Runes count toward this as well? If so this may explain in part my problem with the attribute point quest i also posted. I noticed i had 200 attributes total. Runes should so not count against this if it does

200 points you can earn thru leveling (170), and 30 u can earn thru 2 quests, then the mods from the runes stack on top of whatever your skills are, so say u have a 12 in sword, add a superior rune to it and get 15,add a hat and get+1 for a total of 16, i hope this anwers your question

200 from only leveling, yes that does help thanks. so if you have runes you are ahead of PvP made characters in thoery since you can have more points with runes and special weapons and armor.
My fire is at 15 and i can go higher but dont see the reason since fire is not as useful in PvP, I decided to get a superior Earth to help me there. got that at 13. What is the highest someone could get Fire Air Earth and Water to? what would be the most damaging spell point wise? |

This may have been slightly unclear; you can get 170 just by gaining levels, and there's quests that can give you 30 more attribute points.
Attribute levels are different than attribute points. In general, you can spend points to raise your level to 12 for any attribute. You can wear a headpiece to give it +1, and using a Superiour Rune can add another +3. So there's a practical limit of 16 for any attribute. However, there are items that give a % chance of increasing your attributes (i.e. Fire +1 (10% chance), that kick in when you take some action (like casting a spell). It's almost impossible to detect when this effect kicks in, but in theory that could make a skill take effect with a level 17 attribute. (Maybe it could even be higher, if you have a weapon & focus that both do this? Could that make it theoretically 18 if you are really lucky?) |
