I thought this game was amazing back in the days when I was skint and only had a dreamcast.

It was very short though.. some friends have told me that the PC online version was also very good, but Guildwars was preferable..

I liked the arcade feel of PSO but was wondering if anyone else had played this Blue Burst Version?

Whats it like?... worth downloading the two week trial? Think I will have a go if it helps Guildwars guru.

I'm going to give the game a go over the weekend. Always wanted to try it out but I didn't want to buy a Dreamcast.

Been told it fun to play for a bit. 2 weeks free is pretty good needless to say.

Its the exacly same version as to Dreamcast but with some new maps, monsters & items. Even several typos from dreamcast-version are still in. Only thing different is that cheating is gone/very low.
I dont think its worth the money (=monthly fee) if one has played PSO before, Blue Burst is more of a big update then an expansion IMHO.

I don't think I'd be interested. I never played the DC version but my boyfriend spent a few years on it and loved it. So we got the Xbox version a while ago... and well if the BB version has new areas that were done by the same people who did the new areas in Xbox... no way. I love the original areas, whilst they can be annoying at times they are also mostly fun, but the new areas I hated. The new bosses were kinda cool but they were basically mainly rip-offs of the original ones anyway.

Then again we're not playing online on the Xbox (can't afford the fee) so online the new areas may be huge fun, in which case BB ones could also be great!

i played 1&2 on Xbox online and it wasnt worth it. i also played Pso3 for gamecube which was really bad. im justing going to say to wait for psu(phantasy star universe) to come on on now i hear Pc and ps2, mabye xbox.

PsoBb im not so sure on id try the 2week trial and if u dont like the game dont play it. Its that simple.

Tried it, I didn't like it. I didnt feel like there was any major improvements over the old version. Its still very clunky to play on the PC.
