Okay I feel really stupid, but I'm a noob. That's my excuse and I'm sticking to it.

Yesterday my entire party died and my pet with us. Naturally the game revived us, but my pet wasn't revived with us. I completely forgot where we were on the map and now I can't revive my pet because it is always "out of range." Is there any way for me to get my pet back, other than exploring the entire world over again?? Or can I just charm a new pet?

follow your red dots on the map to where it ends, your pet will be there, or zone out of the map, and you pet will be with you automatically.

I already finished the quest and moved around quite a bit doing other missions without my pet and it does not show up when I change locations.

To use your pet ressurect skill you need to be "in range" of the pet, ie close to where it died. Alternatively you can just zone out of the area and it will be alive again.

If your pet is not showing up, most likely you have removed the charm pet skill from your skill bar, the pet will only show up if this skill is equipped.

I've already changed locations multiple times and no pet. Also, I really would just resurrect it but I don't remember where I was!

You need to have "charm animal" equipped. Then when you leave a town it will be with you again.

"Charm" to spawn the pet when leaving town.

"Comfort" to rez a pet that dies mid-mission or quest.

Yes, make sure you have charm animal equipped. Here's what happened to me before. My pet died in pre-searing and I didn't revive it. I just left it there. When I first came to searing (Old Ascalon city), I wanted to ressurect it then it said "Pet is not in range" just like your case. I was like "OMG, it's trapped in new ascalon" I went back into town, equip charm animal and comfort animal, went back out to old ascalon and it came back. Walking back to the village and equipping the necessary skills (comfort + charm) will bring your pet back alive.
