If I deleted my character that created my guild would the guild get deleted? Should I transfer leadership to another player and then delete him? Any answers would be appreciated!

No all your characters on your account are the same as far as your guild is concerned so char 1 and char 4 have the same standing in your guild. If char 1 is guild leader so is char 4.

I actually did this, btw. Only odd thing is that everytime I invite/promote someone the guild history shows it being done by the deleted character. I wonder what would happen if someone else created a character with that name?

Good question, since that old characters name could be used again O.o
