Glowing Axes - Guild Wars Forums

Is the chaos axe the only axe that glows? If not, what other axes glow and what color?

The chaos axe is blue as I recall

I seldom see anyone buy/sell axe, and indeed, why would anyone use axe that has about 10% lower dmg than sword...

I like the axe skills better then the sword skills and axes crit higher. But that didnt help my post in anyway

as far as I know, the Chaos Axe is the only axe that glows, but you can dye it different colours.

I had a max damage chaos axe that had some mods/upgrades. Cruel chaos axe of defense i think it was.
Anyway, i couldn't even give the thing away for free. Nobody wanted it.

Eventually i gave it to a level 8 guy i met.

Typically you need to double your asking price to sell it.

Every time I want to see a picture, ... I go directly to Ebay. There they got pictures for a lot of stuff from guild war, and I believe guildwar is going down the drain soon because of that.

Anyway, this has on monthly fee.

Hey, the cleaver axe looks good too!

Im not him, but I think he is refering to how swords have their min-max closer together than axes. Axes being 6-28 and swords being 15-22, you yeilding a more constant damage output.

Same here...I personally like the axe skills mixed with my necromancer skills. Just seems...I don't know, "to fit". Now if only I could get a bad-*** axe!

You can change the glow color, but it comes out an unexpected color.

10% lower damage overall? Or just against heavy armor? What about if the enemy is running away? What about against > 60AL palyers? Is this 10% each and every hit or based on a DPS measurment over a given time? Is this melee only or using skills? And if using skills, what skills are you using?

Either way, hitting the same target with just melee....

Sword: DPS=18.92 DPM=1135
Axe: DPS=19.37 DPM=1162

Axe wins by 1%.
