Hammer that bad in PvE?
Swiched to hammer last night, i bought a purple max damage with +1 to hammer mastery. My hammer skill was at 12. I equiped the create weakness skill and the knock down weak enemies skill and another hammer damage dealing skill.
Is it just me or does hammer suck? I would always miss enemies, like 4/5 times. And its so slow to swing. Doing elonas reach the times i would connect it would say block or evade. One fight i didnt land a single blow. Am i not getting something here? My guildies say that hammer sucks PvE but is pretty handy in PvP. I can see that being true. |

there are many threads on the advantages/disadvantages of hammers. they have the same hit chance as any other warrior weapon. if you are being blocked or evaded, put irresistable blow on your bar. If you're being blocked or evaded by melee, put counterblow on your bar.
what is your secondary? a w/e can do major PvE damage and more than make up for not having a shield with Hammer/Earth (aoe Knockdown + Aftershock, Armor of Earth and/or Kinetic Armor). A w/mo can fix some of the adrenaline problems with balth's spirit... etc. in general though, if you're looking for damage, I've heard it said time after time that the low attack speed on hammers sucks, because it makes adrenaline a bitch and prevents using a shield (no shield bash, shield stance... take about 30% more damage) Just up to you. |

The bleeding skills from the sword as well as the different axe swings kinda leave a lot to be desired from a hammer....
