Sword negatives - Guild Wars Forums

What is the best negative for a constant damage sword?

-1 Health regeneration

-1 Energy regeneration

-10 armor (while attacking)

-5 energy

i mostly PvP, and dont have any healing spells. i have a max dmg, -1 hp regeneration, and the problem is throughout the battle no one really attacks me, but i end up losing health anyways. i wear platemail and have 20 energy (all ive need so far), i use conjures and water trident for my ele part of it.

i have seen a 15% constant, max dmg with no negatives. it was beatiful i will give you everything i have if you have one.... but probly not

) dream sword,
its a short sword
15-22, +15%

Tho some guys noticed there is some flaw on the jpg he posted
but many people defend for him, and prove that sword really exist

till now, i am still very doubt about its existence

back to the best of worst issue,
its all depend

if u were a pure hammer warrior which doesnt need energy
sure -1 energy regen / -5 energy is the best

but as a swordsman, energy is important
i would rate like this

-1 hp regen > -1 energy regen > -5 energy > -10 Ar(while attacking)

but do u think its an early game (i mean beta) drops or bugged drops ?
i dont think u can get such drops now

well considering that everything from Beta was wiped when the game went live, cant be a Beta drop.

There were items early after release that had the "+15%" mod with no drawbacks. I saw two or three of them really early on when I was still sub 15. They do exist. The one item that I distinctly remember was a max dmg gold Half Moon with the true perfect mod.

Unfortunately, they don't drop anymore. What is out there is out there.

warriors are in most cases non attacked targets. so i would disregard defense and prefer the -10 armor while attacking. furthermore, if you use an energy intensive sword template, i would put on gladiators armor and a foci instead of shield to boost energy. in that case a -5 ene sword would be great too, coz you have enough to compensate it.

-1 ene reg is the worst imho. thats 50% of a warriors reg. in a long fight that reduces you total amount of ene you can use during the fight extremely. imagine a fight of 5 minutes. would you prefer 15 starting ene + 2 reg (that would be a total of 615 ene to spend in best case) over 5 min or 20 starting + 1 reg (a total of 320 to spend in best case) over 5 min.
