What makes Vampiric and Sundering Strings so nice? Why is there such a demand for 5:1 and 10/10 strings?

Sundering is in high demand because people think the 10% armour penetration at 10% chance gives them a significant boost to damage, which it really doesn't.

The nice thing about 5:1 Vampiric is that it adds 5 damage onto every hit you make, so it's like a passive damage buff that freely combo's with skills. That it heals you on top of the damage is a nice side-effect, but basically if you're aiming for all-out damage Vampiric is a decent choice.

Zealous and Vampiric are pretty much the best choices for bows, but since Zealous is always 1:1 ratio it's a lot easier to find, hence the supply matches demand and the prices stay reasonable.
