Improve Axe's Damage?
Hi all,
I've just got a Gold Axe which has pretty nice stats/mods, however, it is far from max damage. The axe has an existing Fiery Axe Haft. If I replace the haft with a Shocking Axe Haft, would it improve the Axe's dmg? Thanks for answering! |

It would just make it lightning damage instead of fire damage. The damage numbers (6-28 if max, but since it's not then whatever it reads as) would stay the same.
The only way this would improve the axe's damage is if you were fighting things that had a higher resistance to fire than lightning, or had a weakness against lightning.

Kha is absolutely right...as usual.
I would suggest trying to expert salvage the haft from the axe and re-apply it to a better base damage axe. Just a suggestion. |

Kha, thanks for your reply.
I guess I just have to sell it then. Can I get a PC on the Axe: Fiery Sephis Axe of Warding (Gold) Fire Dmg: 6-20 (req. 7 Axe Mastery) Dmg +19% (health >50%) Armor +6 (v. Elemental) |
