PvE quests only during 'favor'? :(
All these changes for the PvP players in this patch -- and they go and make neq quests that only appear in domestic districts and only when 'my nations' PvP players have the "favor of the gods" whatever that is. I'm strictly a PvE players and really would not like to be influenced at all by those people over on the PvP side of things.

The game is based on PvP... I understand your frustration about the New Fissure Quest but at the same point its really not that big of a deal.

Not only that it is a big insentive for you to play an active roll in PvP to insure that you can get and keep the favor... Which was the main focus of the game not the PvE

The "Family Ties" quest in Sardalac Sanitarium is also one of those.

It's basically telling me when I can and can't play the game. That's one of the big reasons I don't play the other MMOs are the "timed respawns" and some-drops-only-on-some-days and all that other crap that makes the game unfun and require an amount of obsession not available to we casual players. GW was marketed as much as a "casual gamer's MMO" as it was "PvP arena" if not more.

this game is NOT based on JUST pvp. Its' based on pve AND pvp. They should just remove pvp it would solve a lot of problems.

What kind of a suggestion is that , getting rid of pvp would get rid of half of the community. you seriously need to consider the fact that you are not the only one playing this game. |

They're doing their damnest to let PvP players avoid PvE, and then they add PvE content that relies on PvP.

Guild... An association of persons of the same trade or pursuits, formed to protect mutual interests and maintain standards. I don't see, from the dictionary definition of the word Guild, why there would be a need to rename the game if the PvP aspect was removed... not advocating the removal of PvP...if you like it play it....but atleast understand the terms you're using. Guild is merely an association of people working to achieve the same goals....this includes what you people have aptly termed "PUGs" |

hmm
Now that they have removed the PvP'ers need to grind in PvE, they can grind it out in PvP for the things they need (like skills). In order for PvE'ers to unlock all the skills they need, they need experience and the only place where the experience flows is in FoW and UW doing the 10k xp quests. It is the same need, just gotten through different means. All of PvE should be unlocked for the PvE'ers. The whole concept of relying on PvP'rs to gain you favor to do PvE missions is ludicrous.

The faction system helps, but they still need to do PvE if they want every skill. Quote:
No, really. The concept as it is, is great, or at least: good. GW was never made to be PvE or PvP only game. Both are integrated. And the PvP influence in the PvE world is very little. The influence of PvE in the PvP world is much bigger. Please don't be so focused on yourself. See the game as a whole. If you wanted to buy a PvE only game, you haven't read the reviews right: GW is a PvE/PvP game. |

Stop beating a dead horse with this old PvE vs. PvP debate.
The game is both PvE and PvP, it's a moot point. |

And a part of PvE depends on PvP results.
I was trying to find "Family Ties" (along with a bunch of other people) and nothing, if that depends on favor it means the new quests 1 for everyone and 3 others for koreans and americans. And as the system is going the PvE and PvP is going to be more and more set apart, I cannot stand Tombs anymore since I get nothing out of it (besides a raise in my death count) after the update. |

Wars between guilds Guilds at war. Not hard to understand to be honest. PvP or more precisely, guild vs guild is the heart of this game. |

So no, they don't need to change the name. But pvp is part of the game, so there's no reason to remove it. |

Blah.
Remove PvP: I will stop playing, and go play WoW or SWG. Remove PvE: I will stop playing, and go play Shattered Galaxy. Divide the two completely: I'll keep playing but will like it less. I'm a casual player and I DO like the concept and implementation of GW. I haven't been playing MMORPG for a while now because I can't devolve enough time to things ilke WoW SWG and so on. But GW... it's balanced, strategical, extremely complex, works fine, and has a lot of stuff that I thought were missing in other games. This game requires skill, not just time. I don't have to put up to 13 years old kids running ahead because they've got so much free time. Now they have to be SKILLED! Nah. Please, let it stay as it is, if they differentiate the two worlds any more, it will be so less appealing. Oh, and about americans and koreans having favour all the time... not really. Yesterday Europe had it between 19 and 24, so stop complaining and fight more. Or don't, and don't complain. Oh and me's european too, btw. Just not fond of whiners. Calimar |
