Monk armor whats better ? - Guild Wars Forums

Hi

I'm a Monk and am considering which armor to buy, whats better in your opinions...

+3 energy ?
or
+10 physical ressistance ?
or
+5 elemental ressistance ?

on each piece

In my opinion, as a monk the use of armor is moot anyway. When you're under serious attack it won't save you, even if you get the best armor available in the game. To me my best armor is my teammates and my own defensive spells. And ENERGY helps me the most to keep my teammmates healthy and to boost my defensive spells.

Mix and match.

+5 ele on chest to help protect against those nasty Lightning Surges, tat's everywhere else to get your energy high, which is the important thing for a Monk.

I got the physical resistance since in pvp and pve warriors love to make the monk their first priority.

Everything Ascetic's Design is nice when you run out of Energy really quickly, if you run out of your Energy somtimes a nice combination is this:

Censor's Vestment
Censor's Pants
Ascetic's Arm Design
Ascetic's Foot Design

I'm using the comibnation above at the moment, but I'm planning on changing to the full Ascetic's Design, since I'm running out of Energy all the time

where does a monk get tattooed?

You can buy the designs.. those are tatoos.

As to where.. well, I guess they get tatooed all over

Except in the sensative areas. But you can buy them after gates of kryta. Lions Arch at first, then every armor vendor has them.

Well you can't really be too sure about that.. just because it is covered doesn't mean it is not protected

Get tattoos, the energy is invaluable IMO. If you have more AR you'll live longer to see your party be slaughtered, while you regen your energy, in some scenarios.

I went with tattoos for the energy. My monk has finished all the missions now. That energy is really needed.
