I'm pretty new to this game, and i see people talking about farming. What is that?

That is going through some areas multiple times, usually alone, to get lots of items, usually somewhere where the enemies are easy to beat with a certain build.

This can/was/is abused by bots, so they have been nerfing it.

Because you "farm" for loot. You "harvest" valuable items and gold. It can be fun :-)

Exposing my noobness here...but what in the name of all that's holy is nerfing? (Now that I know what farming is...because I'm not only new THIS game, I'm new to ALL games)

nerfing = to make something useless (to nuke it, basically). Not so sure what it is short for though... I just follow the flow

nerfing-to worsen, comes from nerf - the child-proof type of toy. so to nerf something is to make it child-proof or worse
