im am just curius what would compell someone hack or use a bot on a game when you can't when money and it shouldnt effect your wellbeing if there is a good reason i will agree but i dont think their is because it is just a videogame it isnt poker and you shouldnt be selling stuff for real money cause that is just stupid

also how would you tell if someoen was useing a bot

I have a couple ideas why people want to cheat.

1. They cheat so they can get banned and complain on the forums
2. They can't have fun playing a game unless they have max everything, and don't want to work to get there
3. They are very, very stupid
4. They sell the stuff they get farming for real money, and get more than what the game was worth.

well a good way to see if people are botting in a certain area for example the seekers passage bot madness people would see a constant stream of the same people going in and out

being that I'm on the poor end of the game....I've got about 20plat and I just ascended...I would say that most people bot/cheat because there really isn't a way to make any kind of money in this game. Granted there is really very little need for money...but there are things like Superior Runes, Superior Vigors, Sigils, even your occasional Max DMG *Weapon* of Fortitude +30 that'll run you 30K - 100K....with no real way to make money, and the developers nerfing every creative way people can think of as soon as they find out about it, these things are nearly unattainable
